Last week a peculiarly shaped device appeared on my desk. It was a compact, solid square box with a rather alien aesthetic, by which I mean it looked like something out of a Star Trek episode. The perfectly square cube was dark gray with long diagonal grooves across its entire surface.

If you have an iPhone 5, iPod touch 5th generation or iPod nano 7th generation, you're probably already enjoying the sweet sounds of your playlists and podcasts through a pair of headphones throughout the day. But you may also be looking to rock out sans headphones, using an external speaker dock. The Bose SoundDock® Series III Digital Music System lets you do just that.

In five years it will be 2018. Looking forward, 2018 promises to be an exciting year in sport. The World Cup Finals for soccer will unfold in Russia over the summer, while the XXIII Winter Olympics will come together in the South Korean city of Pyeongchang. However, 2018 is also an important year for Panasonic, since it marks the company’s 100th birthday.

There’s no arguing that Sharp has continually been at the forefront of consumer trends, and for 2013, the CES tradeshow in Las Vegas made it clear that the consumer is demanding larger TV panels that offer more ways to “connect” with media sources. Taking this knowledge to heart, Sharp surpassed every one of their major competitors by equipping 85% of all their 2013 retail TVs with “Smart” Internet connectivity.

Televisions are the heart of any home—when you’re not reading, exercising, pursuing hobbies, mowing the lawn or spending time with loved ones, you are more than likely watching TV. And in this highly advanced technological world, TV is facing stiff competition from computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones. How will television manufacturers keep up?

With so many home entertainment options available these days, television has plenty of competition. Families are playing digital content on their laptops, tablets and home computers. Children are accessing TV shows and YouTube on their smartphones, and media players such as iPods. But TV is still firmly seated on the throne when it comes to the living room.

The Sony brand is synonymous with style, innovation and quality. Their dedication to brand identity and creative industrial design has been a wildly successful marketing strategy, which companies like Apple and Samsung have adopted over the last decade. Sony has also been an industry leader and innovator when it comes to technology.

Luxor manufacturers a variety of different size carts, display stands, whiteboards and more. One of their most versatile AV / utility carts is the adjustable AVJ42. It features three roll-formed shelves with a powder coat finish.

The CES trade show in Las Vegas has grown into an electronics cavalcade, with old industry giants like Sony and Samsung bumping shoulders and vying for our attention with dozens of mid-level manufacturers and startup companies.

Football season begins in late summer and carries all the way through to the following calendar year, and even though that’s a sizable stretch of time, it passes by incredibly quickly for true football fans. It’s hard to believe, but it’s happened again: regular season and the playoffs are over, and there’s only one game left.

The writing staff at B&H collectively produced more than 120 holiday articles in late 2012, and the information they contain is still incredibly useful, even though the decorations have come down and many gifts have been exchanged.

When you shop for gifts for your loved ones this holiday season, you can’t forget the corner-office executives on your holiday list. These weekday warriors toil in their towers day in and day out, chipping away at their piles of paperwork—don’t  they also deserve some nice holiday cheer?

Coming up with gift ideas for a kid isn’t terribly taxing. However, shopping for their parents often proves to be a little more difficult. When pressed, mom or dad may divulge that they could use a new ice cream scoop or some wool socks, but in you can’t imagine their face lighting up when they unwrap such conventional gifts. You know you can do better.

There used to be a time when your appliances were not as smart as you. A time when you told the coffee maker what time you were getting up, the coffee maker didn’t tell you. A time when you, not your smartphone, scheduled lights out. There was a time when we ruled the electronics in our lives, and not the other way around.

Everybody wants something better for their children than they had for themselves. It’s a function of the American dream. It’s also a manufacturer’s dream. The hottest new toy can create a frenzy around the holiday season that can only be duplicated in certain shark-infested waters in the Pacific.
